Dr. Santosh Subramanian R

Dr. Santhosh Subramanian.R is a consultant at the Department of Hemato-oncology and Bone marrow transplantation at Sri Shankara Cancer Hospital and Research Centre, Bangalore.

Dr Santhosh holds a Diploma in Child Health from Madras medical college and MD paediatrics from Tirunelveli Medical College, Tamilnadu. A life member of Indian Academy of Paediatrics, he has immense experience during early years of practice in managing Neonatal and paediatric emergencies and intensive care units.

Witnessing and understanding the dire need of Hemato-oncology specialty in both paediatric and adult population, he later went on with his super specialty training- DrNB Clinical Hematology at Manipal Hospitals, Bangalore. His earnest interest in this field has won him the certificate of commendation for his outstanding research work for his dissertation on acute myeloid leukemia. He also earned many accolades by presenting papers at both National and international conferences and has also authored Benign Haematology chapters. An active quizzer, he is also a winner of many state and national level quizzes.

His expertise spans across managing both benign and malignant blood disorders including leukemias, lymphomas and myeloma and Bone marrow transplants (Autologous, Allogeneic and Haplo-HSCT) His future plans include adopting effective and highly tolerable Immunotherapies and Cellular therapies in managing haematological malignancies.
