Dr. NK Vinod

Dr. N. K. Vinod is the Chief Consultant and Head of the Department of Anaesthesiology and Critical Care at Sri Shankara Cancer Hospital and Research Centre, Bengaluru. He holds an MD in Anaesthesiology, a PDCC in Cardiac Anaesthesia, and a Fellowship in Oncoanaesthesia and Perioperative Medicine (FOAPM). With over 25 years of experience, He leads the Anaesthesiology and Critical Care department at Sri Shankara Cancer Hospital. His core expertise includes oncoanaesthesia, difficult airway management, clinical nutrition, and cancer pain management. He is a life member of leading national bodies like ISA, IACTA, ISCCM, ISSP, SOAPC, ICA, and ISPEN.

He has published five scientific papers and authored chapters in two textbooks on oncoanaesthesia. He is a sought-after faculty at national and international forums in anaesthesia, critical care, pain, and nutrition. His vision includes advancing capabilities in complex onco-surgeries and ECMO, and fostering a strong research culture.
