Dr Lakshmi Krishnamoorthy

Dr Lakshmi Krishnamoorthy has over four decades of experience in Clinical Biochemistry with a primary focus on diagnostic Clinical Biochemistry and interpretation of laboratory test results. A certified internal auditor for the National Accreditation Board for Testing Laboratories ( NABL ),she has developed and implemented robust Quality Control systems to ensure accurate , timely and reliable test results to patients and also in planning and organising the work flow in Clinical Biochemistry laboratories in several reputed hospitals and stand alone NABL accredited diagnostic centres. With more than three decades of her career of working in a dedicated regional cancer centre she is well versed with the diagnostic tests and tumor markers especially required for the diagnosis and treatment monitoring in cancer patients.

Alongside diagnostic responsibilities she is actively engaged in academic training and capacity building by providing training and mentoring to laboratory professionals. A former recognised guide for PhD students under the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences she has guided several doctoral students and served as a member of the PhD Registration Committee of the University. She has several publications in reputed peer reviewed National and International Journals.
