Dr. Amrita Pattanaik is a Consultant Microbiologist at Sri Shankara Cancer Hospital & Research Centre, Bengaluru. She completed her MBBS from Guwahati Medical College (Gauhati University, 2011) and MD in Microbiology from M S Ramaiah Medical College, Bengaluru (RGUHS, 2018). She brings nearly 8 years of experience in Microbiology and Virology.
Prior to joining SSCHRC, she worked as Senior Resident in the Department of Neurovirology at NIMHANS, as Assistant Professor at the Manipal Institute of Virology, MAHE, and as Scientist B (Medical) at VRDL, Department of Neurovirology, NIMHANS. Her work has included viral disease diagnosis and screening, outbreak investigation, molecular and serological reporting, and laboratory capacity building.
